Two nights ago, while putting the little one to bed, she rolled over onto her back and sighed. She said, "Mama, if I could, I'd wish upon a star, and have it come true. And I'd wish that it was before the car crash, and I'd make the car crash not happen, and the car wouldn't be ruined and you wouldn't have gotten hurt and we could've seen the fireworks."
Yesterday, while going through the drive-through with her dad, she asked him for the coins from his change. He gave them to her. And she said, "Daddy, I am going to take these home and put them in my piggy bank, and when it is full, I will take it to the toy store and I will look for a kid who doesn't have enough money to get a toy and I will give my piggy bank to that kid's mommy, so that she can buy him a toy and he won't have to be sad that he doesn't have enough money to buy a toy."
My kid makes me look like a really good parent. But it's all her. She slays me.
You ok? I guess I just assumed that you weren't hurt in the accident. Need a good lawyer? I know some. ;-)
And as for the munchkin, enjoy her at every age. Just saw an old picture of the Not Bobette laughingly reading the Sunday comics at age 9 or so. Broke my heart.
